I don't think the next few Qs will be very good for AMD but in light of what we have seen in Q3, Q4 should be a bit better for AMD than Q3. AMD was late with the Palomino...late with a PR rating, got caught in a major slowdown and lost a couple OEMs...especially Gateway.
I suppose it could get worse in Q4 but with the new chips and Windows XP, things should get a little better...especially if Northweed is delayed until January...which makes sense. Intel sometimes waits until after Christmas to push chip upgrades. Case in point the Pentium Classic to Pentium MMX.
