It would be tough to legislate who can buy a 4x4. Neither my wife or I drive much, between the two of us 10,000 miles a year would be a bunch. I have a Jeep Grand and we take that on trips or when we need something that requires room. I bought the wife an Olds Cutlass with a small V6. The Olds gets used a lot but when it's real snowy I drive her to work in the Jeep. When I drive the Jeep I go real easy. No fast starts or stops. We put $10 per every two weeks in each vehicle or did when it was a buck twenty.

MP, You oughta get away from the "bay area" and see some of those pick-ups that require a ladder to get up into, and humongous mud tires that never get off the concrete. Then, anyone that doesn't like large vehicles will actually have something to bitch about.
