Did I read the proposal correctly? I think it says that only the guns originally issued to the DoD are affected. Or do they mean duplicates like the 1911's that are sold new to the public by the mfgr, too?

I'll make my voice heard, but I don't know how much good it will do here in CA with Feinstein and Boxer for Senators.

This sounds like the beginning of an Australian type campaign to get em all. Except for the ones that criminals will have, naturally.

Well, if I had a Garand and I don't say I do, mine would be in hiding as long as shit like this goes on. I wonder how Senator Peter Fitzgerald, who is a real fan of the NRA, let this get through, then again the bill is probably 1,000 pages long. The house won't let that part pass and even if it did Bush would line item it.
