JC,

I can relate to the Apple Farmer and his pride. I live in the South and have land that I have tried to grow Apple trees on. I had over a hundred Apple trees shipped in from Washington and spent a lot of time planting and trying to get them to produce. I now am the proud owner of two. Drought, bugs, heat, and a variety of diseases have taken their toll.

I also had Pear trees shipped in. They are more tolerant of the heat and blight. They are now producing and it gives me great pride to know that I have made this happen in some small way.

I use this property as a form of therapy. I can get away and not be tuned into the real world and it's troubles.

JA
