Re: "You propose taxing Americans to pay the National Debt that Democrats accumulated in the last 60 years."

Wrong. Check the size of the national debt in 1980, and then check it again 12 years later ... after the Ronald Reagan and George Bush Republican presidencies. The numbers will floor you.

The Repugs yell and scream, "Well, it was the Democrats in Congress that were really responsible bla bla bla bla bla."

To which I reply: If that was the case, then why didn't RR and GB Sr. go down to the stationery store and buy a stamp that reads "VETO" in big bold letters?

Fiscally irresponsible Republicans got us into this mess.

The debts that were generated by a paranoid president, who ate up the CIA information like a kitten and milk, who spent so much on defense against a nation falling into total disrepair at the expense of the taxpayers for the next decade made this country weak economically for a long time. Until SOMEONE PAID most of them off during the past 10 years.
