This might being taking this line of talk to a different place? Am unsure of the origins of it. But to the ethics of buying drugs (and this results from them being illegal), if I buy cocaine whose source I know to be, somewhere along the chain, a violent group who kills innocent people... I am aiding and abetting them in that action by putting money in their pockets through buying their product, imo.

If I know that 75% (I think that's the figure) of the poppy trade comes from Afganistan right now, I know that I am aiding the Taliban through buying the product. Can't see that as an American, a woman, and a lesbian that that is something I wish to do. It would not only be unethical, imo, but durn foolish to support them through buying their product.

I would enjoy seeing all Americans boycott anything that supports them. If they need, or want, a drug... pick another one.
