Bin Laden and its Al-Qiada network operate like mafia and use extortion and such other dirty means to get money from rich Saudi business families.
The Taliban regime is actually supported by Bin Laden, not the other way round. Bin Laden has given tens of millions of U.S dollars to Taliban regime.
The opium trade in Afghanistan is controlled and operated by Al-Qiada network and is a major source of funding for Bin Laden.
This was reported on ABC News Special by Peter Jennings or CBS 48 hours by Dan.
Seems like the terrorist found a near perfect place in mountainous Afghanistan giving them the worst of all worlds.

The only real solution is to wipe out terrorist network and support system from this world. and I think U.S is moving in the right direction.
Put simply, if you harbor terrorist, you are as guilty as terrorist or even more.

Terrorist harbors - Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Iran.
