I don't think money has anything to do with principle, in this case. I think it was a foolish association of money and principle. I never said money was more important than principle- that is YOUR interpretation of what I said, and it is incorrect. One of my principles is not to be foolish with resources, and another is not to make empty gestures because they play well in the media or because you are carried away with emotion. Logically Giuliani's actions make no sense to me- and that conflicts with my principles. So you might say Rudy and I disagree on principle- you may not say that money is more important than principle to me, because that is not true.

I have no idea whether Giuliani bowed to Jewish pressure or whether this was his own silly idea. I can't look into the man's mind, so I wouldn't hazard a guess. I merely think the action was wasteful.

I haven't heard about the women in Berkeley. I'll read that article an comment on it separately.
