lol. Speaking of being stuck in old times, trying to see what you are, at least, pretending to see in the article, and get people to say... is from the early 80's, at the latest. I suspect you know the answer and are simply trying to amuse yourself by distracting people into an old discussion, rather than having them focus on matters that are immediate and of current importance.

What was the point of the article, in your opinion? The point of the article was to announce/predict this war as a paradigm shift for gays in the military. He supports his premise with a report of a change already made in the policy on the dismissal of gays already in the military and goes on to describe some other current events that he thinks will contribute to that change being continued after the current crisis has passed.
