WW2 is in general seen as a continuation on WW1, due to lousy decisions when "deciding on the
peace", mostly to loot as much as possible. (skill of making war and making peace)

The missing verb was "was". The point that the wall street crash in 1929 made things even worse
for those already being punished, through no fault of their own (WW1 and the whole thing at
the end of the century, even Napoleon, especially guano, fertilizer from Peru,etc,etc.. colonialism and
atlantic trade blockades)

Extremism arises from unemployment, no hope, if involving "furriners" also fertile ground for
extrem nationalism, need to find the "guilty", fertile ground for almost any explanation, just a
matter of who is skilled enough to run the emotional show with a minimimum of believability.
(similar to writing a good script for an otherwise totally unbelievable movie)

Often starts with domestic foreigners, like minorities, always easy to blame.

WW2 was obviously also inspired by "darwinism", who was suitable for unpaid labor and
who to harvets the fruits and profit.
