Hi BK,
I thought of that and did upgrade from IE 5 to 5.5

The internet options has 2 boxes in Java VM available to check,
Java JIT compiler enabled is checked
Java logging enabled, I tried it both checked and not checked. No difference was made in the performance.

Is it possible that something within the Win 95 system has changed ?

I purchased the computer new and have the original equipment that came with it, although I do not know if it is a full install of Win 95 on that disk, ( I remember the manual saying something about creating a special boot disk, which I never did do )

Is there a site to download any repair or service patches that may or may not fix this?

This is very puzzleing to me because untill a few weeks ago everything worked just fine.

I also have a Windows 98 SE disk that came with my desk top machine, Would it be possible to change the IBM 380 Laptop that came with Win95, and install Windows 98 ? if it's possible, would a novice like me be able to do that without totally screwing it up?

Thanks
Hal
