I agree with much of what you say Doc and it may very well be that fossil fuels remain the cheapest form of energy for a long time to come yet everytime I look up at the Sun, I wonder. Inexhaustible, reliable, free. Hmmm????? To be sure there are matters of economics and technological to be considered, most of which are well beyond my comprehension but change is a constant and many times in ways we did not imagine. There really is no way of knowing how things will look 20 years from now other than us both knowing it will be much different. The farther we try to project out into the future, the degree of uncertainty grows exponentially.

It is my guess that current affairs will be shaping things for years to come.
