Most people don't realize we have faced all these threats - hijacks, chemical/biological, suitcase nukes, etc. - for the last 10-20 years while we merrily carried on. Bin Laden has been trying to mess with us for almost that long himself. Now we can patch up some of the holes, make a psychological adjustment and hopefully get on with life instead of jumping and twitching at every breathless headline from a cable TV news outfit desperate to save their ratings from the pre-September 11 oblivion they faced. Life goes on, always has and always will.
