re: BIOI

Rick, thx again - I'm really starting to get indebted to you I think. Did some more number crunching and found that they did a great job in expense management plus there is a HUGE SHORT POSITION out, around 750k and float is just 6m, so this is more than 12% of float. At current trading volume 21 days would be needed to cover all outstanding shorts. (short ratio of 21 days) - which is incredible large.. Maybe this was done by investors in taken-over companies which were acquired BIOI in a stock for stock deal to lock in the then higher price of BIOI shares at the time of the acquisition. Anyway, there is an incentive to cover in all stronger upmove trends in such situations. Seems like I will buy BIOI soon, maybe Monday..

competitors : one Yahoo post lists them all: TECH, SIAL, IGEN, IVGN. All have PSR ratios between 3 and 8 while BIOI creeps on at a PSR of 1.5 - too low IMHO. Gross Margins (BIOI .. 58% recent 10Q) is quite comparable to the competition that ranges from 48% (SIAL, IVGN) to 75% (TECH) and 80% (IGEN), so that could serve as a yardstick of what to aim for to management. With gross margins on par with at least 2 competitors all BIOI needs is GROWTH and then earnings and especially EBTIDA could get a real boost..

Now if some new "strategic reorientation" you are talking about could yield those 70-80% gross margins in the future, it could make a real windfall..

all the best
