Luxottica noted that the order by its terms applies only to three models for a total of four SKU's. Over the past four months the Group sold 2,129 units of these four SKU in the U.S. out of a total of over four million units sold over the same period, thus representing an insignificant percentage of its sales in that market.

Maybe so, but obviously the sales numbers would be small at this point if the knock-off models have just recently been introduced. Oakley is wise to nip this in the bud. Looking at some of the new models highlighted on Sunglass Hut's website, it appears that they are hoping to boost sales by adding more color, despite the remarks downplaying the significance of the court order.

For instance, Sunglasshut.com's homepage at this very moment features only one sunglass model (2 images) -- new! styles -- "the new look of Ray-Ban" -- i.e. the new Ray-Ban Cutter with the silver frame and orange lens. If this is one of the models in question, shouldn't the order have covered the website as well as the stores?

As far as Luxottica's image is concerned, perhaps they 'adsorbed' too much from Bausch & Lomb. That would tarnish anything.
