I don't think any were injured and the demonstration was broadly based. There has been another one called for next month and somehow I think it won't be so peaceful - but by that time may be enormous. Politicians are talking of a long war and 10 year occupation of Afghanistan but it will be hard to keep the momentum going for more than a matter of months - and particularly so if the economies of the US and UK tank. And, IMO the huge difference between this and the Gulf War, aside from the lack of Arab support this time, is the WWW and a more educated population as a result. Sloganeering can only take you so far.
