I had added to my previous post. I agree your definition of 'sin' is an impediment, but one from an internalized source. There are things you should not do because of lots of reasons, many of which are very logical. I don't call these principles 'sin' even though the first adherents may have thought of them that way. Any one who raises animals knows that if the puppies of a bitch breed they are likely to product inferior offspring. This is generalized into a principle for people - it is a 'sin' to sleep with ones sibling or parent.
