We can do that without intervention by Congressional foreign-aid-and-oil-company-campaign-money-addicts , with a web page of
Accountability of all oil purchases, by region and by company. We can then decide whose gas pump to fill up with.

Do you think people would notice?

I'd put it on those little tv screens you see at some of the pumps...
"THIS GASOLINE USES 0% MIDDLE-EASTERN OIL", followed by news from the battlefield

I want to see us either reduce it or dispense it over a broader range of competing sellers, so none can hijack our foreign policy and smash it into buildings.

But I've spent my adulthood worshipping at the feet of Amory Lovins, Buckminster Fuller, Barry Commoner, et al.
