Hypocrites, maybe, but like all, or should I say some, of the other Arab nations, what they say for domestic consumption is different from what they whisper diplomatically. Like Egypt, Algeria, Yemen, Indonesia, Pakistan, Nigeria, Iran has a militant and increasingly violent fundamentalist minority. Iran has also absorbed many thousands of Afghani refugees without international assistance, unlike Pakistan, which keeps them bottlenecked at the borders.
