weren't passengers unarmed??? A passenger is never completely unarmed. Whether a snagging a hijacker with a belt, blanket, or disarming him by throwing cans of soda or shoes, there's alway's a weapon of some type available. But what is more difficult is arming your mindset. These hijackers had reportedly taken one of the passengers hostage and were threatening to kill them right in front of the passengers... So folks attempting to overpower a hijacker have to be willing to sacrifice the life of that hostage, in order to save the lives of dozens, and maybe thousands, or others. Hawk
