The 'rest of the world' doesn't spend whorishly to protect it, and we are by far their biggest customers.

I really dont think that we are their biggest customers....this was posted upstream by ThirdEye.

The rest of the world doesnt spend to protect their oil supplies because the US does it for them. One of the reasons for the attack on Pearl Harbor by Japan was that the US had cut off their supply of oil. I dont think that history has changed that dramatically in the last fifty years.
