Shanghai is the information cross roads of the Far East. It will only have the best. We knew that Unicom said that they would install 1X right away in some locations. If they have it going now in Shanghai, this little conference may spark a wireless explosion that will be heard around the world -- a little Worlds Cup so to speak.

"It sounds like Unicom is installing 1x in Shanghai."

Yes. It is the first ever CDMA 1X commercial trial in Shanghai, China.

China Unicom, Shanghai Bell and Samsung do this trial together to offer the APEC Meeting members these 3G type VOD, Internet surfing, email, LiveTV, etc. services.
