<joking aside, I hope the docs can save some of the man's hearing.....regardless of politics, it's an awful thing to happen>

I went through the very thing that he's going through. Went from one doc to the next, the House Institute, UCLA, and all of them came up with a different diagnosis: Auto-immune, infection, and got tested for all the latest bizarre and exotic bugs floating around.

They never came up with the reason why but I lost all my hearing in one ear and a bunch of it in the other. Once it goes, there's very little that can be done. I've yet to meet or talk to anyone with the same condition who's had any success with the implant. I belong to a few support groups that are constantly looking for some way to relieve this problem but so far, nothing's been found.

It would be a real upper for all of us if they find a way to fix his problem.
