Anyone see the Leonid Meteor shower last night? (This AM)

I set the alarm for 4:30Am....Got up, saw a few meteors burn up across the sky.
I went and got the air mattress, and several sleeping bags. I had downloaded some stuff off of the interent (Constelation info, big dipper, aries, etc.) Fresh batteries in the flashlights, and proceeded to wake up my 7 yr old.

At 1st she was groggy and cranky, until she saw the setup on the back deck. She got excited as we snuggled up in the sleeping bags (It was cold in NJ, probably 30ish by 5am).

We anxiously awaited the show...It took about 1 minute, until we saw our first "Shooting Star". A brilliant streak of Orange/yellow flame across the dark black, star filled, cloudless SKY.

It was beautiful....She screams out...I SAW ONE....and for the next hour...we counted hundreds of similar event.
In between flashes, we spotted many constellations, and made a few of our own up.

Has anyone ever seen the Elephant constelation? If not, Emilie & I claim copyright on that one <ggg>

Nothing like spending an hour with your daughter, watching hundreds of shooting stars, snuggled under sleeping bags on your back deck.

Anyways, if you thought about it, but didn't get up to watch, you missed a wonderfull show.
