Art, If you get a chance to read the book I'd be interested in your views. It goes beyond the current conflict and covers globalization and culture pretty well. I find the book's conclusions light and perhaps hurried, but value it more for the cultural global analysis anyway which I think is its main purpose. Just heard on CNN (don't watch it much but wife had it on while I retrieved another cup of coffee, ggg) that 85% of Afghans consider OBL a "holy warrior". Which conflicts nicely with reports on CNN a week or so ago indicating that many Afghans were anti Taliban and suffering under their rule. Pakistan/Northern Alliance card being played this morning, (heard at the same time on CNN, I have to make my coffee faster!) this thing could draw in quite a few complications. On my net news sites noticed also a lot of mentions of India and Pakistan, being nuclear powers, Kashmir, etc etc. Prelude to Colin's visit I suppose. Well, back to the market, have to decide if I am going to play inside or outside today and it is very nice weather outside today!! Best, Roebear
