Well support is good but I dont believe that 12 year olds should be wearing makeup to school and she now knows how we feel about it. If she breaks the rules she gets punished and as she is now getting Horseback riding lessons every Monday which she loves more than the makeup..I hope she uses her best judgement...
BTW we let her wear makeup to the Bat Mitzvah Saturday night.
A Bat Mitzvah or Bar Mitzvah is kind of a religious ceremony for Jewish people at age 13...you read from the Torah and then have a big party because you are now considered a man(Bar) or a woman (Bat)..but they arent adults in my book..<gg>

As the father of a 13-year-old, this is a topic that interests me.

My daughter has been a user of makeup and nail polish for a while now. IMO, there's nothing wrong with a little makeup at this age. All I can say is, pick your battles.

We stress that "less is more" and the message is getting through. My daughter has a new step-cousin who dresses like a cheap 'ho and pastes the makeup on. With a little subtle guidance from mom and dad, Kelsey has figured out that her new cuz does not look good when she overdoes it with the makeup.

I'm a firm believer of indoctrination at an early age. Get started with your daughter now and you shouldn't have too many problems when the teens hit.
