Yeah, I think the market is getting used to the single case anthrax scares. Not much reaction there at all.

Really...!

What a strange environment to trade....!

There's a front page article in the wallstreet journal reporting that economic activity has returned to levels prior to Dec 11th. It suggests so far the stimulus applied by the government (fed - congress) and the response by the Bush administration has been effective in supporting the countries economic priorities.

The Outlook

"A month after the worst terrorism in American history, the economy in many respects appears to look now much like it did before...The economy probably was headed for recession even before the attacks...."

"The same goes for manufacturing and business investment."
This includes hotels....!

So the outlook is positive..., with a recession that will most likely be modest.

However this patriotic response by the American consumer needs some time to unfold and to see what further terrorist activity occurs.
