fwiw : I don't think India has any intentions of going to war. The people would never agree. They just want to be left alone. 40% of Indian budget goes into defence as compared 90% of Pakistani budget. Its time both countries started utilising that money to feed their people.

For years Pakistan has used Kashmir to deflect internal issues. It has been using that for agess. When their internal political system tends to destabilise, they wage a war with India to deflect the problems and get the gung ho nationalistic feelings up and going....which saves their system from internal collapse, if for a while....

No one really wants a war with Pakistan. Even though India would win, the defeat, the degradation of the defeat would only make the Pakistani's even more bitter.
