Hi E, You'll have to check the fine print. I don't remember just how it works, but I know when I've traded more than 5000 they've charged me an amount similar to your charges. However, recently there's been some changes:

Premier Select Plus 72 $9.95 $19.95 + $1.75 per contract

Premier Select 36 $9.95 $19.95 + $1.75 per contract

Premier 18 (or min. $500,000 in assets of combined accounts) $12 $19.95 + $1.75 per contract

Choice less than 18 (and less than $500,000 in assets of combined accounts) $14.95 $29.95 + $1.75 per contract

*Combined accounts are accounts that have the same primary social security number/taxpayer ID. All rates apply up to 2,500 shares. All executed orders over 2,500 shares will incur a commission of one cent per share for the entire order. TD Waterhouse equity limit orders, stop orders and stop-limit orders incur an additional fee of $3. This fee will be waived after 10 qualifying equity or option trades have been executed in the same account within each calendar month. All settled trades including stocks, bonds, options and mutual funds placed online, via wireless, TradeDirect® or with an Account Officer in combined accounts apply towards qualification for TD Waterhouse Premier Services. A flat-fee of $45 is charged for Option Assignments.

Best regards, Tom
