I am trying to develop a macro view of the world right now. As is the case with Iran, I can see other countries seeing this as an opportunity to climb a few steps on the ladder. As far as Kuwait goes, I wouldn't count on any oil from that region if things heat up too much. I brought up China because I think that they are creating a bubble right. I see them artificially stimulating their economy with with a pretty massive communications infrastructure buildout. They are overbuilding in a way that puts us Americans to shame. My guess is that they are going to look for new ways to stimulate their economy pretty soon. If they have decent oil reserves, the demand (assuming my scenario in the ME) could make it attractive for them. (this is just free association stuff that I am doing in my head).
