Yes.

Arctic National Wildlife Refuge too.

But an alternative power source is the only real solution. If oil is the commodity, they can still affect the price even if we are self sufficient to a greater extent than now. It's a world market.

as much as I hate it, I think that the need to be independent from ME oil is more important than the coastal view.
