Desert island guy has no way of knowing no one will come along later and figure out what's written about on those tablets.

If you think this is far-fetched, let me tell you a true story.

There was, a few years ago, right across the road from my old property about ten acres between two busy roads and next to a rapidly growing community college and government center. When the roads were built they created a low lying area between that became a "wetland" in the NorCal winter.

Somehow, the county and development community and the neighbors agreed on a plan to use that land in an appropriate way. There was, of course an opponent of the plan. His weapon was endangered species laws. But, guess what - there were NO endangered species in the area.
No problem - he prevailed in the courts on the argument that the land was a "potential" habitat for some endangered species not found within hundreds of miles.

The "ethical" questions I posed to you were hypothetical but hardly a stretch. Give me an hour and I can come up with a hundred without taking a deep breath.

IMO, the guy brings the whole of his value system and knowledge with him.

As far as using the bible for TP - I hope you wouldn't see that as a "best use". I mean how many wipes you gonna get out of the old and new testament combined? I suspect even X would prefer to have SOMETHING to read.
