Hi CB,
It will depend on your lifestyle of course and that's only the heating aspect. I can't comment on air conditioning savings. We don't mind it cool at night (get to cuddle under the big duvet). The nicer feature is letting the house cool down at night while having the heat programmed to come on say 20 minutes before getting up, so we don't use a lot of extra fuel during the night for nought and likewise during the day. Those old analogs were not precise enough either. (of course you could freeze on the way to the john in the middle of the night, ah! what price freedom LOL)
