No one is right they are all whats left. CNBC and other media need to provide more historical depth, here and there, by doing a quick historical snapshots showing how the Embassy in Sudan and Kenya were bombed, the Somalia connections, etc. I do not mean showing the footage of our getting bombed, hit, dragged, beaten, tortured etc., what I mean is actual FBI or CIA type DOSSIER FOOTAGE, who is who, who did what, how who did what, when and why. Facts, dates, people places methods capabilites. To keep repeating the anthrax threat ad nauseum to keep the fear and interest high until and while we wait for some juicy tidbit from the front, like the desert storm cruise missle attacks on that bridge just as the jeep made it across....we will get those shots, those juicy national enquirer type shots, VIDEO, IMAGES....but in the mean time, be sneaky and clever and educate the american public without their knowing you are slipping in something of actual substance, some real knowledge, some history, some deeper understanding other than VIDEO IMAGE EMOTIONAL SENSATIONALISM or sad repeating the same news. I know the whole anthrax thing inside and out already. We never saw much about the Pentagon attack, or the Pennsylvania plane, just the 2 world trade center planes, and New York, again and again. I agree it is horrible, it is terrible, but so where the other two plane attacks that day. So are other things happening worldwide, so are other news about the Al Quaida network, what they are, where they are, who they are, what they did, are doing, might be planning, that is NEW NEWS, that would be educational and informative. If CNBC needs flow charts to show how the money travels from this bank to that, so be it, do it like the Feds do a Mafia trial, show us the pcitures of the Don and his leutenants, and soldiers etc. Show us the Bin Laden family or the royal families of each of these countries, get in there and dig and do some real reporting.
I agree, we should not be drawn into making OUR WAR, OUR WORLD's WAR against terrorism the war of choosing sides between the Israelis and Palestinians. THEIR disputes are not OUR WAR. If we are dumb enough to do that, then we should also throw in North Ireland and the Catholics and Protestants. Or maybe Tawain and China, or North Korea and South Korea. They have problems, Israel and Palestine (as well as jews and arabs, or any christians, sihks, bahaiis, and even buddists I imagine in some of these regions) that is the Israelis and Palestinians, but let the world know, we are friends with Israel and Saudi Arabia, moderates in both worlds, Friends with some Iranians and some Iraqiis, friends with Jordan and moderates in Lebanon. Their disputes are their problems and trouble US since WE the US have friends on both sides. Just as the US is friendly with INDIA AND PAKISTAN. The Taliban in Afganistan supporting the Al Qaeda Bin Laden Terrorists is OUR WORLD's WAR, and thus AMERICA's WAR, not against the people, with whom we will be friends, and help to heal them and their nation after this war, but a war against the EVIL ONES. Our friends, if they are true friends, should not make the mistake of using these unfortunate events to try and make us choose between them. We should not and do not play favorites. The liars, the EVIL ONES say we play favorites, for example, with Israel, or jews. But we are predominantly a christian nation, so that is not true, islam is the fastest growing religion in the US currently. And we came to save moslems, and islamic peoples rescue and protected them in Bosnia, in Kuwait, in every other major military move over the last 12 years....we did not come and rescue jews or the any israeliis....but we would rescuse and protect BOTH arabs and israelis, moslems and jews, and any other innocent peoples terrorized or harmed by tyrants. That is who WE, the US, are. We love humanity and peace. We do not play favorites. Neither should they.
