Mike, We have 30 days before Ramadan, and the Afghan winter sets in. A major portion of the job must be done by then, or the battle will just be prolonged. The bombing is having it's effect, and causing some of the Afghans to reconsider being a part of the Taliban regime. If some leaders defect, the grunts will lose heart, and should make the entry of ground troops a bit easier, with less opposition. These things are happening because of a well thought out plan put together be Bush, and his advisors. I'm sure most of the actual planning was done by his military advisors, but as a good President, he has the presence of mind to listen to those that know what they are doing, instead of Hollywood "idols". ~;=;o --haqi
