<These despicable people have squandered their oil fortunes on Race Horses, Palaces, and toys, while we have to listen to how 'poor and destitute' the people of the Mid-East are>>>

You forgot the 22 carat solid gold water spigots and other bathroom fittings....

No kidding.

I even saw a Gold plated Crystal Toilet Bowl Cleaner with a solid gold handle on sale at a fancy hardware store...honest.

The key is to let their oil rot......

That is a statement I agree with.
Takking out our ONLY supply (and a limited one at that) does NOTHING for the cause.

Big oil does not want
1) conservation
2) alternate enery sources
3) lower MPG requirements on cars

They are greedy pigs.
All of the above will reduce big oil profits

American companies want profits

Want to see gas at $3/gallon
It is easy - just stop importing foreign oil and pump out our reserves. Hell as soon as that reserve is gone we will have $4 gas.

I would love to have their oil rot.
BUT our greedy oil comapnies will ensure that it would cost us dearly if that happened.

We need to
1) reduce the need for oil
2) mandate improved MPG targets on SUVs and trucks
3) Offer incentives for use of alternative energy sources

Big oil and Bush wants no part of 1, 2, or 3.
Drilling the Artic and wrecking the environment by burning high sulphur coal is not the answer.
