I am not sure about the existence of God. I am not sure about anything else, either. I would like to do the greatest good for the greatest number, but I'm not sure that is possible. However, I am willing to live my life by taking my best stab at it (knowing, at the same time, that the effort may be an exercise in futility to even TRY to optimize things- as the effects of one's actions are really unknowable). I choose to try to do the greatest good because I emotionally prefer that- I really can't justify it absolutely, and relatively I don't see it as having any greater absolute merit. I've done my best to explain.

Abraham Maslow had a pretty good take on marrying the psychological & biological entertwined with religious needs , what is sought for and most wanted on the higher levels of human experience...human fulfillment. sort of a pyramid, man is a "wanting" creature, so in what ways do we evolve from here ?: Maslow's Hierarchy of Human Needs connect.net members.aol.com the one thing true of the man on the island , is that he will still be a "human" animal. (Instead of putting him alone on that Island , lets merge him with God , and give him a peak experience or two and then discuss his moral attributes. <g> ) Scriptural Bots like greg cannot fathom the intricacies of their own ancient archaic scripture . 2 Dimenensional thinking that stereotypes and limits others based on one facet of the expression of their personhood and sexuality . regards Mars
