Now you ought to tell us that the possible anthrax letters received by a couple of Israeli newspapers today are "deflecting attention" devices. The funny thing with you is that any type of propaganda will do. You remind me of Nasser, in the sixties. Yet you failed to realize that Egypt and so many other have learned that the Goebbels era was over. This isn't Trotsky any more, but the spirit of Stalin and Beria. Must be fun.

it struck me that it all started AFTER President Bush officially talked of a Palestinian State... >>> Gus, you are losing it...Now how can anyone takes this seriously ...Here is a chain of events, Massoud, Russian Plane, now this...You read to much of Arab Press, I know you are nostalgic, but...Letters were mailed in September, Bush had press-conference in October....but never mind, right?

My theory on that is this: (a) they could attack Jews, but then they risk people saying, "it is just Jews who are attacked & we are not Jews: (b) Arafat has counseled them that, if they attack Jews, this will strengthen Israel's hand by bolstering the argument that Israel is needed as a refuge from anti-Jewish attacks. A third possibility is that the goals of bin Laden are so large that they transcend Israel and Jews & he wants to take dead at at the power centers of the West--ergo, he targets U.S. financial institutions, media, and top politicians. Targeting Jewish organizations just doesn't get him where he wants to go.
