atto,

I don't know of any way to control the amount of data the server sends, except there may be some connection with the number of bars displayed in the chart window. I select a symbol and period length and it just starts sending the data. It appears to send data for every tick no matter what time frame I have selected. I monitor my data rates continuously, and every time one of these reloads starts I see that I'm receiving 5kbps or better.. that's as good as I can expect from the 56K modem. I do have another quote service that uses up some bandwidth, but I turn that off at times and that does not seem to be the problem.

Fortunately, the execution platform I use has independent quotes, so all I am losing is the chart, not current quotes.
