I think you said it better than I did, thanks. A lot of Presbys are pretty close to Clinton's "don't ask, don't tell". If a person is a practicing homosexual they can be a member of the church, nurtured and cared for, welcomed at communion, etc. We recently had a member die of aids. (Does that sound like "one of my best friends is Black", or--fill in the blank? Many people are members who are not officers of the church. But if a person is a self-described homosexual and declares themselves celibate, they can be ordained. Anyway, the attempt is to be inclusive and at the same time faithful to certain guiding criteria.
