Stick with the percentages of GDP dependent upon US imports, not the total figure.

Sure, we're Europe's largest trading partner in value terms, but we're not 20% of their total economic output.


Alright... How about sticking with "domestic demand", or "consumer confidence", or just... GDP growth?
Indeed, no matter what happens to the Transatlantic mill, China's GDP will grow by 6-7%, ANYWAY. Whereas the 15 EU countries will slum it at -1.0% --at best....
