Solar is beautiful... and good for hot water, where and when the sun shines.
The debate nuclear electricity versus everything else presently known has taken place years ago, and came out to the advantage of nuclear, now and in the future.
Coal, of which we have reserves for centuries, is : polluting like mad, killing hundred workers per year ( but who cares, these people don't post, nor live close to nuclear plants, like we do.
Sure nuclear plants are dangerous. So are airplanes, elevators, boats etc. Modern technology has mastered the dangers, and everybody, including the Tals, needs more and more electricity nowadays, and it is not going to change.

Disclaimer : I never was connected to the nuke industry whatsoever, but worked for some time in the solar energy world.
