If one has to answer to these questions as "practical considerations" sometimes and then as "moral considerations" at others, I would rather adopt a morality that allowed me to use the same principles all the time.

If your actions have moral implications and practical results then IMO both things need to be considered. The example in question was not one of practical considerations sometimes and moral considerations others, but rather one example that had both. Another example might be stealing bread so as to not starve.

Tim, the principles you are espousing are the principles which justify both abortion AND the death penalty.

What principles do you think I am espousing?
