I never thought that I would get to the level of thinking where I am right now. But this is something that I came up with this morning. I had a thought on the psyops thing....right now our psyops consists of giving them food and dropping leaflets on them which say "we are their friends and not trying to kill them". Pretty much propaganda bullshit. I think that this is the wrong approach for psyops. I think that we should start by one day dropping pictures of all of the people who were killed on 9/11. Each picture would have a note saying how they were killed. Of course, you know that they will celebrate their deaths. Then the next day, we should get replicas of the bombs that we dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Hollow those puppies out so that they can't do any real damage, cept bury its nose in the dirt. And then have a message written on the bomb pointing out that if we wanted, they would be gone now. then the next day, drop pictures of all of the people who have been exposed to anthrax. Again with a note saying what happened to them, how the anthrax was delivered to them, and in the cases where the antibiotics have saved them, we should note that too. Then the next day we break out a couple of crop dusters and fly over their cities spraying sugar water. A couple of days after that we can drop some leaflets on them asking them how their antibiotic supplies are doing. Let them stew on that for a little while. Do I really think we should do that? Probably not. In reality I consider myself a tolerant person and I recognize that many of the people in Afghanistan are just as much victims as those of the WTC/Pent attacks. But at what point does the responsibility of the actions of the government/leaders transfer to the common citizen. Obviously Bin Laden has transferred the responsibility of the gov't actions to the U.S. citizens, shouldn't we play by the same rules? I too have an overwhelming desire to live and at some point, that desire to live outweighs any desire that I may have to respond to the terrorist threats/attacks in a civilized manner.
