Tony: Can you envision losing some control if your store count reached say 1,000. overnight. What would you do first? Hire an evangelist for GSTRF, QCOM, or NOK? Those newly converted faithful would be gone in a matter of months. VZ as we all know it has only really been in existence for less than two years. They integrated several companies. Expanded store count significantly. Sunk huge costs in to store upgrades and moves. The pace of change in their environment is like no other in retail. I guess what I am saying is if truly what you and others say is a horrendous retail experience then explain their growth in a slow economy. I am sorry but I just refuse to believe that anymore than 5% care about the innards. How else can you explain the success of Nok's color face plates. I think before we point fingers at VZ mgmt lets ask the question, where are the Qcom reps visiting the stores if it's in their investors best interest.

p.s. I would be interested in hearing your store visit results from Seattle.
