proforma INTC earned a dime in Q3
project out something like 50-80 cents for next year
and fair price per share might be $10-15

I see highrisk parallel between now and April/May just passed
the techs treaded water for several weeks
expecting a 2ndHalf Recovery that never materialized
reason for patience: Fed loading on money supply and lower rates

now market is "looking past the current state" just like springtime
expecting 2002 Recovery sometime
reason for patience: Fed loading on more money supply and even lower rates

my personal take is that we have already seen the massive effect of Fed stimulus
IT PREVENTED A WHOLESALE REDUCTION IN STOCKS BY 60%
that is, versus winter levels of Naz 2100, Dow 10500

a recession is here, punctuated by the WTC attack on NYCity
now economists are guessing as to its duration

my belief is that with mindboggling excess capacity...
the lower rates only help household debt, and not planned corporation resumed expansion

INTC and CSCO are each well deserving of half their stock prices
we denied being in a recession
next we deny its duration
I say until mid/late 2002
experts believe the capitulation in midSept and serious cuts in rates by 75 bpts gaurantees a V-shaped recovery

show me the V
stimulus averted a meltdown, nothing more
now we are roughly where rates should have been all along
they are not really stimulative

seek out value, ignore growth
go for smallcap with an idea, a concept, something in developmt
the usual fare is priced for reasonable growth, 5-6 years out
