Wahhabi Mullahs who jealously guard their role of being guardians of Mecca and Medina. Ok, here's the plan. Let the Wahhabi Mullahs have the Holy sites, plus Jeddah, Yanbu and all the sand they want. Encourage uprising in the Eastern Province which is largely Shi'ite -- and where most of the oil and gas production facilities are -- so that Dhahran, Qatif, al Khobar and the rest become a protectorate of Iran, defended by Iranian forces, and integrated with Iranian oil industry. The US withdraws from Prince Sultan Air Base, leaving no technical expertise on the ground to maintain and train the Saudi Air Force, which quickly deteriorates and becomes useless. Move all our air power to Kuwait. Or just get the hell out altogether and let the Iraqis and Iranians figure it out. That ought to keep 'em busy for awhile. Climber
