You need to get a soul. We are absolutely innocent. How can you possibly justify this?

Naivete in grownups is often charming; but when coupled with vanity it is indistinguishable from stupidity. - Eric Hoffer

Life is like that.
Never black and white.

So, you think there was some "white" to the attacks on the WTC?

I disagree.

To me, they were pure black. There was no white to them.

Pure evil.

But apparently you disagree and think there were good things about them. That there was white as well as black in those acts.

Perhaps you will explain to us what those good things were. Or, better, explain it to the people who jumped from the towers to avoid burning to death. And to their families who may have watched on the TV as their fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, wives, husbands, jumped to their deaths. Or explain what is good about the people on the airplanes who were just trying to go about their lives and were turned into human bombs. Please explain to the families of those people, to the children made parentless, to the men and women whose lives have been torn to shreds, what you find that is so wonderful in what happened to them.

"it" was the deliberate, premeditated, cold-blooded murder of 6,000 Americans. I think we can take it as certain that at least 95% and quite possibly all of them had nothing to do with the grievances of those monsters. But they killed them anyway.

That's what "it" is.

But we are not exactly innocent either.
True. We placed American soldiers in sacred Saudi soil- -at the request of the government of Saudi Arabia (one of the more repressive and cruel governments on the planet) and for the purpose of protecting it and its people.

We have provided aid and assistance to to Israel, the only democracy in the Middle East.

We have also provided aid and assistance to many of the Arab states. The same ones that now revile us.

We have tried, with varying success, to broker peace agreements between Israel and the Arab states.

Life is like that.
This isn't about life. It's about death.
