So far we don't have enough to do anything with the muscadines but eat them. The vine is only two years old. We have it trained on an arbor but I think it is going to need a pergola - the arbor was completely swamped this year. I was looking at pergola plans yesterday - trying to decide whether it's cheaper to buy a kit or make it myself. I think it would look very pretty to have a large pergola in front of the house, which is where the grape vine is, and grow not only grapes but also flowering vines like morning glory and jasmine.

I love grape hyacinths but the vines are so strong that they will eventually rip a pergola apart.
