Clinton did have a major crisis to rise to - the near-simultaneous bombings of two of our embassies. He chose to blow it off with a couple of cruise missles. The public is beginning to see him for what he was, hence the difference in poll ratings vs. Bush.

Yes, I am sure Mr. Clinton would have loved to have such a spotlight. He would have handled it marvelously. Maybe, his leadership would have precluded these malicious attacks from occrring. The difference would be that he would be under attack by the right wing for carrying out stupid useless bombing attacks in Afgahanistan, and have his penis under investigation.

So he would not enjoy the bipartisan support Mr. Bush is getting.
